Garth Winckler
President, WorldDoc Foundation
Garth is the force behind the WorldDoc Foundation. In addition to overseeing the foundation’s new client and product development, he ensures a seamless and worry-free implementation process for partners and clients. Backed by years of non-profit and consulting experience, Garth offers expertise in everything from organizational development to community affairs as they relate to the private and non-profit sectors.
Before joining WorldDoc, Garth served as President for Garth Winckler & Associates. Clark County Health Access Consortium, Nevada Public Radio, Easter Seals of Nevada and WorldDoc, Inc. were among his clients. For more than 27 years, Garth served communities in Ohio and Nevada as a United Way professional. He spent 16 years as President and CEO of United Way of Southern Nevada.
When Garth is not fulfilling the mission of WorldDoc, he serves on the boards of Communities in Schools and The Solutions Foundation. Garth was the founder of the Nevada Community Foundation and is an Emeritus Director. A 2000 graduate of the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Las Vegas program, Garth is dedicated to lifelong learning and extends his knowledge by teaching graduate classes at University of Nevada Las Vegas’s (UNLV) Public Administration and serving on the Greenspun College of Urban Affairs Advisory Board.
Garth holds two Master’s Degrees, one in Urban Affairs from the University of New Hampshire, and another one in Public Administration from UNLV. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh and holds a Certificate in Non-Profit Management from the Harvard School of Business. In 1995, Garth was named Professional Fundraiser of the Year by the National Society of Fund Raising Executives, and he is the UNLV Greenspun College of Urban Affairs Alumnus of the Year 2008
