WorldDoc was recently named a 2009 National Health Information Awards winner in the Health Promotion/Disease & Injury Prevention Information Class for its Healthy Living Program. More than 1,000 entries were submitted this year with awards selected from a panel of health information experts from across the nation. All entries were judged based on content, format, success in reaching the targeted audience and overall quality.

WorldDoc, Inc. was awarded Bronze Honors for Health Management by leading health care accreditation organization, URAC. The awards are designed to recognize innovative leadership and successful programs in consumer-focused health care management.

WorldDoc was honored for its Internet-based prescription drug monitoring and intervention application. This program was developed to reduce patient out-of-pocket expenses, minimize the number of patients reaching coverage gap, and reducing potential interruptions in therapy. The intervention was designed to identify patients on a drug spending path that would lead to a gap in coverage before the end of their coverage year.

During the fourth annual World Wide Web Health Awards, WorldDoc received a silver distinction in the Health Promotion/Disease and Injury Prevention Information category. Applicants were awarded a gold, silver, bronze or merit distinction. WorldDoc was selected from among 200 entries that were judged by a panel of health information experts.

In 2002, the National Business Coalition on Health (NBCH) named WorldDoc a winner of the Mercury Awards for eHealth Excellence superiority in Internet healthcare. WorldDoc won in the Content for Consumers category.

The Mercury Awards recognize healthcare sites that improve access to healthcare information for consumers, employers and business coalitions. The National Business Coalition on Health represents more than 7,000 employers. This “buyer’s award” spotlights eHealth services that add genuine value for healthcare purchasers.

Entrants were judged on employer-based criteria, including how the program complied with security standards and the level of customer satisfaction achieved. Judges tested each nominee site to assess credibility, user friendliness and overall design.
