The Personal Evaluation System™ (PES)
The Personal Evaluation System provides a user-friendly, personalized, four-step process to evaluate symptoms and find the most probable medical conditions and treatment options. Physician-developed questionnaires within the PES lead users to the top three possible conditions. Based on user input, the system triages users to seek the appropriate level of care depending on the severity levels of the predicted conditions. The system also explains available treatment options, emphasizing when self-care is safe and when medical attention should be sought.
Health Risk Assessment
WorldDoc’s proprietary, intuitive and interactive Health Risk Assessment (HRA) collects information about user demographics, biometrics, health history and lifestyle habits. Integration of data already in the system drives appropriate questions and pre-populates responses, making the assessment time-efficient and the results more targeted and comprehensive. Users see a health risk meter showing their risk levels for major preventable conditions (which drive the majority of health costs). The assessment suggests lifestyle changes to reduce these risks, as well as personalized health goals and methods to reach them.
WorldDoc’s Medical Library contains a wealth of information providing users with excellent resources to educate themselves on over 2,000 of the most common conditions and treatments. The comprehensive medical content is written and reviewed by the collective effort of 20 board-certified physicians representing diverse medical specialties, and simulates the questions and outcomes that would result from a doctor visit. In addition to the user-friendly medical writing, hundreds of narrated videos demonstrate medical procedures, making it easier to grasp concepts and enhance the user experience. The search engine allows users to find relevant content even if they have little knowledge of medical terms.
Health Helpers is a suite of tools designed to help users select health care providers and compare hospitals, estimate costs and learn about innovative treatments to better manage their health. In addition, in this module a user can access quizzes that address various health issues, calculators, health trackers and our Healthy Living program.
Healthy Living Program
Our innovative, unique online health and wellness program is designed to encourage users to develop and keep healthy habits. The Healthy Living program helps users to define and practice habits that are appropriate for their lifestyle. This three-month program with weekly practice sessions helps users change habits to achieve goals they set for themselves. Each week the user is asked to select a habit to practice, and WorldDoc sends the user tips to help him or her achieve success. The user is prompted to evaluate progress at the end of each week.
Health Trackers
The Health Tracker tools help users follow the development of their health over time. Users can keep track of all of their health numbers, such as cholesterol and blood pressure, and monitor and update changes. They can even create their own unique trackers based on their personal goals.
The Pharmacy module provides state-of-the-art functionality to manage every aspect of users’ medications, including data import and export to provide prescription and claims information. In a snapshot view, the user can see his or her Rx plan, as well as drug alerts and news. Key components of the Pharmacy are:
- The Rx Comparison tool shows how much a specific medication costs and if a generic equivalent or other drug alternatives are available, as well as a comparison of price.
- The Drug Search capability enables users to retrieve comprehensive information on over 17,000 drugs, such as brand names, medication uses, side effects, interactions and how to take the drug.
- My Medications keeps track of medications: frequency, dosage, supply and refills.
My Health Files is a collection of a user’s general health status and a Personal Health Record. This module contains and seamlessly integrates personal health data, health risk assessment results, medical records, pharmacy claims and lab data from various sources. This area is the central database for a user’s complete health picture.
The News, Forums & Communications module provides exciting opportunities for WorldDoc users to receive messages, search for health news, participate in forum discussions and access transcripts of online chats with nurses.
